[arm-allstar] Point to point or remote station

I have asked this before, but received no answer. ( unless it ended up 
in a spam folder I don't see)

I need just a little instruction on how to connect two nodes together, 
in a two repeater network

and / or as a remote base, with no "server" involved.

Can someone explain ( in 100 words or less ) or lead me to a YouTube on 
the subject/
