I have come across 2 questions, that may really be the same question.

1)  Is there a simple "write up" that tells how to configure a point to 
point "system"

As in a possible remote control situation, ( local node ( no radio) to 
remote node, some 20 miles away)

2) two repeaters, each with Pi running and an RA-30, about 25 miles 
apart. No need ( or want) for

other sites to connect, simply IP address to IP address. VPN ? or simpler ??
