Hi Aaron,
You will need to create a volume and provide a mount point. The /dev mount point is only used by the OS, but not for file storage.

I know I did this before but cant remember how in the world I did it the last time. I used to record my audio onto a external hardrive plugged into the pi. I know in the rpt.conf the archive audio has to be enabled and also the file path.
However for some reason it sees the hard drive in /dev/disk/by-label but when I click it says no such file or directory. Any ideas?
