[arm-allstar] Darth Vader

What I am trying to do is to build a macro or a series of macros that cause
a remote node to fire off touchtones.
Using your examples I built a function that on the remote node sends the
correct tones with the spacing I want.
To trigger that from my local node again using the examples you mentioned I
can use a command string to put my local node in remote command mode trigger
the function and the leave remote command mode.
It works but my local node plays the Vader voice and stays keyed up until
the remote function completes.
What I want is a short local response such as a confirmation tone or even a
short voice response but not the Vader voice or the longer transmission.
Ideas?
tnx

Here is some more information on the remote command which had been a huge
security hole and was part of Allstar from the beginning until we plugged
it several years ago. By default it is turned OFF on all Hamvoip systems.
This command in each node stanza turns if off but if omitted it is off by
default.
remote_dtmf_allowed = 0
It is recommended that it be turned on only under controlled conditions and
with the users knowledge that they are opening their node to remote control
by anyone in a connected state to that node. This would generally be used
in closed private or limited public connections where you knew and trusted
all connected users.
This does not however limit the remote command from trying. It will just
fail unless the destination end allows remote DTMF. So if a user types in
the client:
rpt fun 59000 *459001*81
Your system will attempt to send a *81 command from node 59000 to node
59001. You will hear the "By Your Command" message and you will get a
second beep after your courtesy tone. This indicates that all subsequent
commands will go to node 59001. To leave command mode you need to send a
single #. In this case:
rpt fun 59000 #
You also could have ended the command in the original line by adding a # to
the end:
rpt fun 59000 *459001*81#
Again this is for reference only and to tell you that this command can
always be initiated but never performed on a Hamvoip system unless the user
allows it which is generally NOT recommended.
