I don't think you'll make that work, unless someone has managed to 
replicate the functionality of the "mobile device" driver in Linux. It's 
probably best to get a generic USB or Ethernet hotspot, or something 
like the IOT BIT, which is a hotspot on a hat. I assume you want to 
avoid using WiFi to connect to a mobile hotspot.
