Patrick,I would go with defaults in simpleusbtune. Rx and Tx levels set to 500. In wires-x under audio adjustments test tone should be set to 6 green bars on output Tx. Using the loopback you want 8 to 9 green bars on input. If you can not adjust properly, you may need to readjust Rx and Tx in simpleusbtune.David KG5RDF

Thus, as far as HamVoIP is concerned, the HRI-200 is a radio. As far as the HRI-200 is concerned, the URI is a radio. So, HamVoIP talks to the HRI-200, which gets me to the wires x network through the wires x software.I didn't design the cable that goes between the URI and the HRI-200.As the HRI-200 shows up as an audio device on the Windows machine, I just opened up a DAW, selected the HRI-200's input and got readings from the peak meter as it was sent the test tone.In short, the URI is just a substitution for an analog radio or repeater as far as the HRI-200 goes. There is no actual RF involved. On 7/10/2020 10:26 AM, "kg5rdf via ARM-allstar" wrote:> Patrick,Can you explain what the HRI-200 rf interface is connected to (URI?) and if it is connected to the server in Japan. That would help me better understand the configuration. Thanks David KG5RDF> -------- Original message --------From: Patrick Perdue via ARM-allstar <arm-allstar at hamvoip.org> Date: 7/10/20  3:04 AM  (GMT-06:00) To: Don Backstrom - AA7AU via ARM-allstar <arm-allstar at hamvoip.org> Cc: Patrick Perdue <borrisinabox at gmail.com> Subject: [arm-allstar] simpleusb flash tone nominal level Hi:I'm setting up a HamVoIP node using a Yaesu HRI-200 connected to a URI-X. I have no other Yaesu equipment, so I can't monitor what comes out of my Allstar node into the HRI-200.I can, however, read meters on the host machine.Currently, I have everything calibrated such that the test tone hits the input of the HRI-200 at just a little above -6DB. I know that tone is pretty hot, but I don't know what value I should aim for to get as close to a 1:1 ratio as possible, perhaps with a little headroom. Should I be using something closer to -6, or 0 as a reference? Thanks and 73deKE4DYI_______________________________________________ARM-allstar mailing listARM-allstar at hamvoip.orghttp://lists .hamvoip.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/arm-allstarVisit the BBB and RPi2/3/4 web page - http://hamvoip.org> _______________________________________________>> ARM-allstar mailing list> ARM-allstar at hamvoip.org> http://lists.hamvoip.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/arm-allstar>> Visit the BBB and RPi2/3/4 web page - http://hamvoip.org_______________________________________________ARM-allstar mailing listARM-allstar at hamvoip.orghttp://lists.hamvoip.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/arm-allstarVisit the BBB and RPi2/3/4 web page - http://hamvoip.org
