Thanks for the reply.  I spoke to Dave, AH6OD about this and he is offering some assistance.  Below is a copy and past of what I sent him.  You'll note that we are using a ICS board to adapt the 96-pin connector to a 9-pin connect, and a cable built by Marshall Oldham.  However, the ICS board we purchased is the MTR2000 Linker II Adapter.  There is another ICS board that is a repeater adapter with a different pinout for the 9-pin connector, and now I'm wondering if that was our problem.  We both purchased the adapter that Marshall had sent me the link to, but perhaps it was the wrong adapter by mistake.  Anyway, below is an explanation of what we are trying to do.  At this point, it would be nice to just get AllStar to work with the MTR2000 so we know how to set it up.  Then we can see if we can get it to also work with the digital board.  I would think it should work together since the analog side is different from the digital side, but it depends on how the setup of the MTR2000 has to be for AllStar.

To give a little background of what we have so far, below is a link to the device I was talking about which plugs into the 96-pin connector on the MTR2k.  When I was talking with Marshal Oldham, he pointed me to this device and said he has built cables for people to connect from this device to the URIx for use with AllStar.  So we purchased this board and had Marshall build us a cable.  However, we were not successful in getting it setup and working with HamVoip AllStar.  As I mentioned on the radio, we suspect we may not have setup the MTR2k correctly to work with the setup.

Patrick does have the wireline board, however, he has it removed at the moment.  Currently, he has the MMDVM board linked below installed and working great to make the repeater a mixed-mode repeater, allowing users to use DMR, P25, NXDN, DStar, or, of course, analog.  My hope would be to have the same setup as a mixed mode repeater, but have the Allstar Pi control the analog side of things.  We can remove the digital board when we meet online to get things working just with AllStar at first.  That will allow us to know how to setup the repeater for AllStar.  Then, we can see about adding back in the digital board, and if they will work together. 

In the end, if we can't get both AllStar and the digital board to work together, Patrick will keep his repeater using the digital board for mixed-mode capabilities.  However, it will be good to at least know how to setup the MTR2k for Allstar as I may go that route in the future with my current repeater.  I may purchase an MTR-2000 in the future to replace the two CDM-1550's I have on my repeater.

Larry,

I've done this and it isn't hard. There isn't really anything different in the programming to affect the external connections. What are you having a problem with?
