[arm-allstar] Not sure how to describe this.....

So here goes:

I have a node for the sole purpose of extending my repeater system's
coverage to DVSwitch mobile when I'm not in the RF coverage area of the
repeater. The main repeater system transmits PL all of the time and has
a lengthy hang time which won't be changed.

The desire to have the phone act like an HT, the node (Pi4) is
interfaced to a Kenwood TKR-851 repeater via an RA-42 at my house
because there's no internet at the repeater site. As I type this, most
things work well, just not how I want them to.

With the system un-keyed, If I initiate a PTT via DVSwitch mobile, the
Kenwood repeater (at my house) keys up into my main repeater and my TX
audio from the phone is perfect over the air. However, when I let go of
PTT from the phone, I don't receive the repeater's courtesy tone or
hangtime (or anyone talking back to me).  However, with the system
un-keyed, If a call is initiated over the air from a repeater system
user, it's heard on the Kenwood repeater at my house and I hear it on
DVSwitch mobile perfectly... BUT, I can't reply until the main system's
hang time ends.  This is not the case if DVSwitch mobile initiates the
call though, I can key up as many times as I'd like during the hang
time, but I just can't hear anyone.

I tried changing all of the duplex settings in rpt.conf but if I don't
use setting "0", I get a continuous loop and neither repeater un-keys.
So, I'm not sure if what I'm trying to do is even feasible at this
point, but I did get close....

If anyone has any suggestions at what I might try, it would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks!
