There is a free service which allows you to access the command line (for Linux/UNIX) and the desktop if one exists for Windows, Linux and even Raspberry Pi.
Download an agent program with wget, install it and it reaches outward to their server and then you can login and do whatever you want from a plain web browser.

Create an account and go for it. No OpenVPN required, just internet access outbound.
I have 21 computers connected (2 AllStar Nodes) to this and it's just plain stupid easy.
