Hi Doug - I get the following when I issue that command:
[root at ve4drk ~]# which dns-query
/usr/local/sbin/dns-query
[root at ve4drk ~]# dns-query 506310
-ER|TIMEOUT
[root at ve4drk ~]# dns-query 45427
-ER|TIMEOUT
[root at ve4drk ~]# dns-query 27225
-ER|TIMEOUT
from the other host (503610) I get the following:
[root at ve4sel-hamvoip asterisk]# which dns-query
/usr/local/sbin/dns-query
[root at ve4sel-hamvoip asterisk]# dns-query 45427
+OK|radio at 50.71.197.65:4569/45427,50.71.197.65
[root at ve4sel-hamvoip asterisk]# dns-query 503610
+OK|radio at 44.135.120.170:4569/503610,44.135.120.170
[root at ve4sel-hamvoip asterisk]# dns-query 27225
+OK|radio at 67.165.29.63:4569/27225,67.165.29.63
506310 is a site on our ampr-net that is connectable running hamvoip.
45427 is my own site.
27225 was the first node with your callsign.
To tell you the truth, I didn't know there was a hamvoip registration
process? I've been using it for a number of years. While my node was
always on our ham highspeed amprnet, I had to turn my local ampr wan
connection off for a while and have had it running off my regular cable
internet service.
I can send you more specifics offline as necessary.
