Well I'm just full of mistakes today. I left the single quote off the end of the example....

watch /usr/sbin/asterisk -rx '"rpt lstats 12345"'

Try this;

watch /usr/sbin/asterisk -rx '"rpt lstats 12345"

Single quotes wrapping double quotes.
