The SA818 definitely needs TX output filtering. The SA818 howto at
hamvoip shows how I did it with a discrete low pass filter. The mini uses a
similar approach only using PC board inductors. I don't know if things have
changed but I was not happy with the system I built in the howto and I
never really used it other than for demos. That was several years ago
though.
