An update for supermon was released tonight which gives users the
capability to configure supermon from a graphic screen. Use the ADMIN menu
item 1 to update.
The simpleusb-tune-control button is located in the configuration editor.
This allows users who have multiple login users to supermon to isolate the
more critical configuration changes from general logins. This is done with
a separate .htpassword file in the edit directory. Super users would have
to login twice.
This application has most but not all of the features of
simpleusb-tune-menu. It shows COS composite and PTT but not realtime. You
need to refresh to see the current status. It also has no bar graph rx
level display. So first time critical adjustments should b made with
simpleusb-tune-menu unless you know the correct level settings.
It does have the feature that it shows whether a config stanza is actually
attached to a node/USB device. Eventually we will display the stanza name
and the node it is attached to which will give the user more useful
information that is not supplied now.
The settings are pretty much self explanatory and there is an intro page
explaining some things. Soon a description of this feature will be added to
the howto.
Later this week we should have an update for the Pi 4 but I would not rush
out and get one until they have the USB-C power issue fixed.
