[arm-allstar] Connection Issues

Carl,
Allstar requires that BOTH ends have correct routing information. So the
fact that you are showing information for the nodes you are trying to
connect to does not mean they have yours also. I tried to connect to both
41760 and 47666 just now and both connected fine.
There have been anomalies in the Allstar registration server giving wrong
or no information. Here are some of the possible causes.
- The nodes you are trying to connect to have you blocked.
- The nodes you are trying to connect to do not have any or correct routing
information for you.
- The Internet path to the nodes you are trying to connect to is broken.
- There is wrong routing information in the [nodes] stanza of the rpt.conf
file at either end.
That last one can sometime be the culprit. Whatever info is put in the
[nodes] stanza at the end of rpt.conf is what is used to route before
anything else. Sometimes people put static routes in there and forget and
when you do that it supersedes the dynamic routing from DNS.
We can get you a hamvoip registration which might might help the problem
but if the problem is at the other end not getting good info for you it
would have to be done at that end also.
