Yes, this looks to be the same issue others reported earlier.  Try running 
these commands at the "pound" ("#") prompt:

cp /root/.bash_profile.pacsave /root/.bash_profile

exit


....Then log back in. The menu should be back.

I'm looking the updated packages over and haven't found any obvious cause, 
yet.
