[arm-allstar] Programming Controller via Allstar

What kind of programming on the RC210 are you needing to perform?

I've never played with an RC210. Does is have a built-in CLI / programming
interface, or use something like a PC application which communicates with
the RC210 via the serial port?

You can easily access RS-232 devices (via a USB-serial adapter) using an
RPi running HamVoIP. One method is to login (ssh) and run an application
like minicom, which is a serial interface terminal emulator. Or, just
send serial instructions using a bash script, etc.

At the other end of the spectrum, you can even setup a virtual serial port
on a distant windows PC and then remotely access the real serial device
hanging off the RPi. The caveat here (obviously) is good, solid IP network
connectivity between your endpoints.

Merry Christmas!
