[arm-allstar] email alerts from our nodes

There is no email client currently in the hamvoip code. One would need to
be installed. There is a gmail example in the howto's. The other issue is
you would need to determine if the node was connected or not. Since you are
probably using *73node as a permanent connect, the connection would be
retried until it returned. The problem is that as far as status is
concerned it always shows connected. In other words it is hard to determine
from just one end if a permanent connection is actually functional. So this
is not as easy as it sounds. One way I would suggest is to use Supermon
with windows to all of your links, assuming they are your links and you can
manage them. This gives an instant indication with color annotations as to
the state of a connection using a management connection to each link.
Supermon is an excellent way to manage your links. I highly recommend using
it. This also gives more than one user access to the data if desire.
