[arm-allstar] Update V1.6-07

Hi Doug,

I've seen a lot of emails coming through on the topic of Google drive backups. However, I set up Google backup about a month ago, and set it in a cron job to run every Sunday morning. It has been running successfully every week since. After reading some of the emails on this topic, I decided to test it. So I ran it manually, and it still worked as expected.

That being said, it is working perfectly for me. I want to run the update, but I don't want to lose my working Google Drive backup. Is there a way I can copy the files used for Google Drive backup and reinstall them after I update? Will future updates continue to remove the Google Drive ability?

I appreciate everything you do to keep hamvoip up to date and running. I don’t want to harp on this topic, but I also don’t want to lose functionality for something that is working perfectly fine for me. Any advice is appreciated.

73,
Larry

Subject: [arm-allstar] Update V1.6-07

Update V1.6-07 update tonight removes the gdrive binary. The gdrive howto
has also been removed from the hamvoip.org web page. Google has turned off
the API used in these programs to access goggle drive.

A header sound file capability has been added to the saytime.pl and
say24time.pl scripts. These are the scripts that play the time and
optionally the weather temperature and condition if a zip code is given on
the hour from a cron job. They also can be manually played at any time
using the format - saytime.pl [wx_code] <node>    wx_code is optional and
either is local zip, airport code, or wunderground station ID, The node tp
play on is required. This is localplay only.

To use the header an Asterisk playable sound file called
saytime_header.xxx must be placed in /etc/asterisk/local Where the .xxx
is a sound file type like .ul, .gsm, etc. The presence of this file causes
it to be used.

A reminder that files created in higher quality .wav format can be
converted to Asterisk playable .ul sound files using the convert_audio.sh
script
