Sorry Jay,
My comment and your original statement wasn't about comparing audio
between controllers. All I can say is that when we feed the Arcom with a
good signal the output matches it. I am sure the SCOM is no different...
I will agree with you the SCOM 7330 is a mighty fine controller with
lots of nice capabilities. We do have a 7330 that isn't in use
currently. There is quite a price difference when comparing the two
controllers. When there is no CLUB backing a repeater owner's purchase,
price and the ease of programming (with a GUI) tend to make many
individuals lean toward the ARCOM. When you listen to the incoming
transmitted signal and the repeater output and it sounds like a carbon
copy and you don't like that results blame the audio input not the
controller. You didn't purchase a recording studio's sound panel as a
Repeater Controller.
No matter which controller is used, Garbage in = Garbage out! In that
case your statement might have merit on an individual case. You can't
blame a controller there but rather the person owning the repeater
that's transmitting the bad audio.
