Firstly my thanks to the guys that responded to my radioless node DTMF issues.

I have now sorted the problem out after sleeping on it.

My Alinco mike EMS-57 is now working with dtmf, I can link and unlink to nodes. The problem I had was that the rpi plus 3watt amplifier and mike was being powered by a raspberry pi psu, and I thought this might be an issue with current supply, I removed the psu and powered by a buck converter, problem solved.

My other question is that when i send a dtmf I don't hear the tones being generated audibly via the attached speaker. Reading a thread further down the email Doug mentions this. I therefore assume that not hearing the dtmf tones is normal. if there are other radioless designs available to cure this I would be interested to look at them.
