Doug,
As you know with my limited internet service I'm unable to port forward. I
have been looking for other ways to get around this. I drive many miles
with no cell service at all and often find people stranded on the road.
This is the reason I have been building repeaters and node connections on
different bands to see if I can fill the communication gap. Now that I have
done that I wanted to be able to contact my wife so that she could call for
help. I wanted to be able to connect to her node as needed. I also want to
have her connect to what ever node I was on when I'm driving to and from
work. That lead me to using a virtual server to have nodes that will port
forward. Unfortunately its a pc and I have to use other software. I really
don't like it and would rather use hamvoip.Thanks
