[arm-allstar] DNS or DNS2go

I use no-ip.org. They offer 1 free host. I have to manually add my IP to the system because my fios router is not doing it despite the correct info, they do support no-ip.org. Also you have to renew your host info every month since it’s a free server.
My IP don’t change often so I don’t care if its an auto update at the router. But I’m curious if anyone uses a service that works with a Verizon Fios routers Dynamic DNS and that you don’t have to login every month for their free service to work?

Jeff,
My question is why would you pay for something you could get for free?
There are free Dyndns services out there and many can be made to work with
your router. The router sees a DNS change and reports it back to the
server. There is no reason to install anything on any systems on your LAN
although a simple script can usually be installed. Assuming that is the way
you have things hooked up.
There is a setup page for dns2go for Linux but you are on your own doing
it.

Also keep in mind that as long as Allstar is running and registered you
basically have a dyndns by interrogating your node number from a remote
Allstar or asnodes on the web. The allstar_ssh.sh script uses this lookup
to connect to remote allstar ssh servers.
