With *73 linking, I understood that a broken link would keep trying to
re-establish until finally reconnected.  What I am seeing is that - after a
while - a warning message is logged about "max retries exceeded to host  . .
. . on IAX2" and the connection is dropped and has to be manually
re-connected.  

 

Is this the expected behavior? If yes, is that a change from a couple of
years ago?

 

The situation is an intermittent Internet connection (that can go out for a
day at a time).
