When I was a junior SA, I worked for 4 Clemson graduates, all members of
Mensa. Wore it on their sleeves like a badge. I built a system of my own
with corporate equipment so I could be like them. One of the Seniors
quickly came around and took away root access on my shiny new linux system.

They told me I needed to learn to solve problems the hard way before I'd be
granted the elevated privileges.

That was 20 years ago and I am thankful every day for that, and many other
lessons they taught me.
