Thank you for your consideration and I understand you have no control
over it. I have seen the, I suppose it should be called a
disclaimer, that it may not work many times. That being said, it did
work fine for me, call it what you may. The fact that I used it
sometimes 3 or 4 times a week was because old hardware and old
software are what I have and I am sure others do as well. If it is
understood there is a risk and it is understood there are ways to
minimize that risk why should it not be used? ----- Original Message

Subject:Re: [arm-allstar] Allstar Web Transceiver
I would consider the web transceiver broken. That is clearly noted
when you
use it. While some may be using old browsers etc. to use it if you
actually
have a working node using iaxrrpt either on a computer or phone or
even
Echolink would actually be a better option. For control supermon
works well
on most all devices. Requirements certainly differ but in my years of
experience with Allstar I have probably used the web transceiver 3 or
4
times and it was just to see how it worked and it hasn't in a year or
two
with the borwsers I use. I think its main use, if it worked, would be
for
those new to Allstar who have not yet established a real node
unfortunately
in its current state and with the Java issue it is not a very good
introduction. It probably should be taken off the site all together
but we
have no control over that.
