Yes, I believe it is just plug and play with the Alinco version but I have
no first hand knowledge of that. I am also not sure how it couples the
lines. Does it use the 1200 or 9600 baud input. We generally use the 1200
and no de-emphasis.
You could use the URI and just wire up two connectors and a piece of wire.
You need 4 conductor shielded cable. Often an old USB cable works fine -
PTT, COS, Aud in, Aud out, Gnd (shield). You need a DB9 male and a DB25
male.
Here is a link to the pinout for the Alinco to the URI. Go to the end of
the article. I added a chart showing connections. The stock USB settings
for the hamvoip code is for the Alinco and DMK/URI. You might need to touch
up the audio setting but they will be very close.
