[arm-allstar] AllStar/IRLP

Hi Ron,
Yes I've had an IRLP node for around 7 years.
I have their board but the computer and radio I was using died a few months back.
Rather than build up a new computer and dedicate another radio I've been waiting for the IRLP feature in the allstar image.

Chris, I’m not sure how much you know about this package, and I’m not the guy to explain all of the details. I’m sure Doug will provide you all the necessary info.

I can tell you that you must own an IRLP node in order to utilize this package.

I owned a Nano-SE IRLP/EchoLink Node and sold it, since I want the flexibility of the AllStar/IRLP package.
I purchased a V3 Pi board along with a pre-programmed SD card that contained my new IRLP software from the IRLP Group’s David Cameron.

It isn’t necessary to buy the board, but I wanted no questions from the IRLP Group about my implementation, so I bought what I could actually use to build a PiIRLP node without using the AllStar package. I only used the necessary files needed to be moved into the AllStar/IRLP package.

I hope this helps you understand what is actually happening with AllStar. IRLP isn’t a free-ride on the shoulders of AllStar.
