Not sure if you mean you are using the 2X audio amp in the URIx but with
the FT-1500 there is no need.
If in the config file you set the rxboost=1 there should be more than
enough RX audio coming in to drive the mic (tx audio) on the radio.
In my the units (none are using the 2X amplifier) all require less than
the 500 default setting. Of course this will vary slightly depending on
each radio and the TX deviation setting of the radio.
In my case here my FT-1500 TX audio output is being broadcast on RF to a
local repeater.
rxmixerset=375
txmixaset=175 ; this channel drives (incoming RX audio
txmixbset=175 ; this channel used to drive a local monitor speaker.
Allows hearing what audio your radio is transmitting while other are
accessing it remotely.
Also... If you are using the 2X amp in the URIx perhaps the hum you are
hearing comes from the power source that you are using to feed pin 25 to
activate the additional 2X amplifier.
