FYI.  I built a node using the Yaesu FT 7900, DMK URI and RPI3.  I had to use a voltage divider from pin 1 of the 7900 to pin 22 of the URI to get the level correct.  I used a 220K and 4.7K resistor.
Pin 1 of the 7900 to one side of the 220K. The other side of the 220K to pin 22 of the URI and to one side of the 4.7K.  The other side of the 4.7K to ground (pin 20 of the URI).
May not be required for all radios, but it was needed on mine.

First of all I am not sure why you are using usbradio? If you are using the
hamvoip code it is setup out of the box for simpleusb. The 7900 has a 6 pin
din with all of the connections necessary to connect to the DMK URI. Page
10 of the manual shows the connections.  Use COSFROM=usb  NOT usbinvert.
Set the levels and you should be good to go. Get rid of all usbradio stuff.
Call simpleusb in rpt.conf as shown in setup config. Use the menu to setup
usb  -  simpleusb-tune-menu

Wire like this -

7900 Din                    DMK URI
----------------------------------------------------------------
  1                                22        TX audio
  2                                19,20      GND
  3                                  1          PTT
  5                                21          RX Audio
  6                                  8          COS
