[arm-allstar] connect script not working

While I suspect some people create users other than root in our
distribution it is generally not recommended. Stock systems run everything
in root and something like this would not be needed. I could be wrong but I
doubt the user asking this question is running in anything but root. So
please don't go blindly changing permissions without knowing what you are
doing.
