Hello Doug;
Ran the following successfully
CLI> asterisk -rx "echolink dbget n 147090"

CLI> asterisk -rx "echolink dbget c WA3DSP-L"
147090|WA3DSP-L|67.165.29.63
Follow your suggestion and flushed the iptables -F
Attempt to connect to connect node-29103 echolink 3361124 to 3147090 with no success.
Any ideas?

Has anyone connected the URI USB Node
interface to a CAT 700 Repeater
controller link port for All-Star on
the repeater. Setups, problems
encountered?
Thanks,
Jeff Young

Hello to all,
Running Asterisk on Arch linux.
1: node-29103 will not register while
on the wireless connection.
2: node-29103 will not connect to a
Window base echolink node.
3: updated node-29103 iptables to
ACCEPT udp port 5198/5199/4569, tcp 5200
4: forward ports in Actiontec router

Any suggestion?

I think we need more info on what you
are doing.
First of all I am not sure why you are
messing with iptables when you have
a firewall router. Also keep in
mind that wireless and wired are two
completely different mac addresses. So
if you are using DHCP your router
will assign a different IP address to
each. You either have to use one or
the other with your router and never
both at the same time.
I would get rid of the iptables as I
think it is confusing things. Your
node is registered right now -
[root at 27225-HUB
supermon]# dns-query 29103
+OK|radio at 141.155.180.164:4569/29103,141.155.180.164
You cannot connect to another echolink
on your same LAN network. There can
be only one echolink instance per
public IP unless you are using a proxy.
You also need to see if the node you
are trying to connect to is in the
database. Here is a way to do that from
the command line -
[root at 27225-HUB
supermon]# asterisk -rx "echolink dbget n 147090"
147090|WA3DSP-L|67.165.29.63
[root at 27225-HUB
supermon]# asterisk -rx "echolink dbget c WA3DSP-L"
147090|WA3DSP-L|67.165.29.63

I have been chasing a problem on my
portable node loosing power to the
URIx. At first I though it was the USB
cable going to the URIx so I
replaced it. I found it to happen more
when I have a lost of data service.
I go through many miles of area that
have no cell service. I haven't
determine how long it takes but for
about 40 of my 60 miles commute to work
I don't have any cell service. Once I
get into the city I can SSH through
my phone and recycle the power to the
USB and it works again. Do you know
if there something in the software or
URIx that shutdown during long times
without internet? Is there some way I
can keep it on so it will reconnect
when I get service?

I had same thing here on our backup
node that went into a leaky dummy load.
Switched to decent double shielded
cable like I would do at a repeater site
and a good dummy load and has not
reoccurred... Pretty sure my issue was
RF getting into it but have not run it
long enough this way to be totally
confident this was my problem.
Zero issues with this at our repeater
sites.

Chris,
When you say "losing
power" what do you mean? No LED's lit on URI?
Solid green? The green should be
flashing. I am not sure loss of internet
would have to do with the USB and power
to the URI. You are using item 15
- power cycle usb to restart it?
Long ago we use to have issues with the
USB not resetting but that was
corrected. Power glitches or RF caused
it to go dead. I have not seen or
heard of that issue since the SW fix
several years ago.

Yes the LEDs go completely out. Yes I
use item 15 - power cycle usb to
restart it. When I'm traveling across
country and going in and out it works
fine. Only seems to happen during long
internet lost. I've changed
everything but the URIx. I'll try one
of my converted FOBs to see what
happens, but I can't see why that would
be it.

Chris,
This is on the node in your car or the
node back at home? Are you using an
external antenna? Not a rubber duck on
the node? Have you observed at
exactly what point it goes out?
