Jerry,
First of all welcome to Hamvoip Allstar and Happy New Year!
This is a relatively easy one and you will learn how to add functions. You
need to edit the /etc/asterisk/rpt.conf file. Do this using nano at the
Linux prompt. Use item 9 start bash shell at the menu.
nano /etc/asterisk/rpt.conf
This opens up the file. Go down to B6=
Control W then enter B6=
You are now at that point. Scroll down to a blank line after that and enter
-
D1=cmd,/usr/local/sbin/wx_condition.sh w-KPARICHB3 1996
Changing the KPARICHB3 to YOUR station ID and the 1996 to your node
number.
Save the file. Control X.
Restart asterisk - at the Linux prompt - astres.sh
Now when you press *D1 on your DTMF pad you should hear the weather for
your station.
Note that the D1 and be changed but if oyu have it on your keyboard then it
is easy to use. Note the Baofeng portables have A,B,C,D as the top row
across when keyed.
*73 Doug*
