Perfect. I figured it was network issues as well. I turned my node on yesterday but never connected to anything until this morning when I ran the update from the menu. Then I noticed the registration issues. Thanks for confirming nothing is broken.
I know we had some network (ISP) outages between ATT and Spectrum for VOIP and other services the other day so that maybe some of what I am seeing as well in my area.

Jesse,

The "Remote UNIX connection" messages show up every time you use an
"asterisk -rx" command; like from a cron job, of a connect/disconnect
script, etc.

The problem is likely that you were sporadically seeing your registration
being rejected. I noticed some similar registration hiccups earlier today
as well on several nodes, not just a single system. The time this happened
was around 10:56AM EDT.

When I tried to connect outbound I kept getting connection failed and it was happening on any node I tried to connect to. So I figured - DNS - issues and it didn't update and needed to run its paces. I waited a few hours and then tried again. Still not able to connect to anything. Checked to see if I was getting DNS resolutions which I was able to. Then checked the CLI to see error messages. I would get a "Registered" message ... then I would see error message remote unix connection disconnected several times. check to see if I was registered and then it would tell me "Rejected". So I would run iax2 show  registry and it would show me registerd and then in a few mins rejected.Check /etc/asterisk/iax.conf and my node and password are correct.
Anything I am missing.Other than a reboot which its in the process now. I bet that is what I missed.
Connected to Asterisk 1.4.23-pre.hamvoip-V1.5.3-31-app_rpt-0.327-04/17/2018 currently running on 28123 (pid = 397)Verbosity is at least 4    -- Remote UNIX connection    -- Remote UNIX connection disconnected    -- Remote UNIX connection    -- Remote UNIX connection disconnected    -- Remote UNIX connection    -- Remote UNIX connection disconnected    -- Remote UNIX connection    -- Remote UNIX connection disconnected
still after the reboot.
But showing registered this time
