Rudimentary JS support is included in the packaged "elinks" application,
as supplied in archlinux. Note that when "elinks" is installed, a
dependency is the js185 (javascript) interpreter:

...........................................................................
[root at hamvoip-kb4fxc ~]# pacman -S elinks
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...

Packages (4) js185-1.0.0-3  lua51-5.1.5-4.1  tre-0.8.0-4  elinks-0.13-16

<snip>
...........................................................................

Note that JS is NOT enabled by default, however. You must enable JS in
"elinks" by launching the program and then press the <esc> key to reach
the menu. Now, go to: Setup-->Options Manager-->ECMAScript-->Enable

Once you've changed these settings, you can save by scrolling across to
the "save" button at the bottom of the Options Manager screen.

Finally, scroll to the "close" button to exit back to the main "elinks"
screen.
