Hello Doug
Thanks for your prompt response.
I just found out it was the PI Power supply , I thought it was good because I could see the green and red leds were blinking, but then kind of a high pitched very low sound. I connected the PI to the PC usb port on the PC , and now all looks fine, quite a coincidence that the PS went bad at power down .

Jorge,

Well if you used the menu then the shutdown procedure was correct and
even if you had shut it down by just pulling the power 99 times out of a
100 it would not cause a problem. Try removing and reinserting the SD card.
If the green light does not come on or comes on briefly and goes off and
does not return you probably have a bad SD card. If you have another card
try reburning the image to it and see if it boots. This would check
everything else.

Unless you have made lots of changes it is very easy to just go through the
setup again on a new image. You just need your node number and node (6
digit) password. It is easier to do that than trying to recover a card.

Having a system not boot that did before is a rare occurrence but it can
happen. Make sure you are using a quality SD card. Sandisk Ultra
recommended - no clones!
