[arm-allstar] Operation through iPhone hotspot

I need help connecting my node through an iPhone hot spot for mobile operation.  I have it working at home on wireless and wired ethernet.  When I try the hotspot, I can see my iPhone when I look at the wpa_supplicant file but when I try to connect all I get is a beep and no connection.  Also, I'm not getting the IP address announcement on start up like I do on wired ethernet or wireless.
Node is RPI3, URIx, BF888 running a current version of hamvoip 1.5.  
Any help would be appreciated.
