Maybe this will help you Dan.

Steps to change an AllStar node in order to get it totally silent (no notifications of any kind). Applies to Doug Crompton archlinux image

asterisk.conf

rpt.conf:

Comment ( ; ) the following parameters.

    ;idrecording=|iDE KP4AP/L
    ;1=00 * * * * ;run macro 1 on the hour
;81=status,12 ; Time of Day (local)
;1=*81 *80# ; play time and voice ID

saytime.pl<http://saytime.pl/> <node>

This Perl script when configured says the time on the specified node. It was created primarily to allow the volume to be changed on the fly but it also allows customization of what Is being said.
This script is typically called by a cron job often to announce the time on the hour.
An example of a cron entry to call this file is:
00 0-23 * * * (source /usr/local/etc/allstar.env ; /usr/local/sbin/saytime.pl<http://saytime.pl/> $NODE1 > /dev/null)
This would announce the time each hour. This cron entry is installed in the stock BBB and RPi2 code.
To turn it off comment the line with a # at the beginning using crontab -e

AllStar Environment Variables: nano /usr/local/etc/allstar.env

    # defines saying of local IP address at boot (enabled or disabled)
    # default="enabled"
export SAY_IP_AT_BOOT="enabled" change this to “disable”

Subject: [arm-allstar] Attack of the Killer Courtesy Tone

Courtesy tones are to do me in! I'm trying to get them off of our
repeater, and can't do it. I've got nounkeyct=1 in all my rpt.conf
files on three nodes. Yet, I get a tone. How can I kill them
permanently?
