[arm-allstar] Will a repeater mic, pass audio through the node like an external radio?

I have a motorola gr1225 connected to my personal mobile node. I have a mic that will work for it but the plug needs to be redone with a rj45. I can get the pinouts for proper wiring onto a new connector. Has anyone tested this, before I go through the trouble of fixing the mic, only to have a 50 50 chance it will pass audio through voip?
