Jeremy,
You say it said connected to 41764. Is that not the correct node number?
What number should it be? Do you have a working node with a radio? Can you
connect to it with iaxrpt? Is this a Pi running V1.5 code? Did you run the
initial setup at first boot?
Your node number can be seen in several ways -
In /etc/asterisk/rpt.conf - the first stanza a few lines down has your
node number in brackets [xxxxxx]
In /etc/asterisK/iax.conf scroll down to the registration line - it will
have your node number followed by a colon and your node (6 digit) password
if you type echo $NODE1 at the Linux prompt it will show your node
number.
If your object is to connect with a phone and you are Android I would
recommend Android iaxrpt rather that zoiper, In either case see the howto's
on the hamvoip.org web page on both zopier and iaxrpt.
