[arm-allstar] hub setup

Stan,
When you have multiple servers (Pi's, BBB's) on the same LAN you often
have to use direct routing to connect them. The reason is your router does
not know how to deal with its own public IP address. Some routers have what
is commonly called 'hairpin loopback' That is when the router sees it own
public IP coming from the LAN it assumes that address and port should go to
a device on its LAN.
Do you have all of your Allstar Servers (Pi's) on different iax ports? The
default is 4569. If you have more than one sever you need to put the
additional ones on a distinct port for hairpin loopback to work if in fact
your router has it. So one could be on the default 4569 and you could put
the other on 4570. This is changed in /etc/asterisk/iax.conf in the
bindport= setting. NOTE if you change this you also need to change it at
allstarlink.org for that server. Click the server setting and then netwrok
and change the port there.
If this just does not work then you should still have your servers on
different iax ports and you will need to tell each server on your network
the local IP address and port of all others so they can connect. For info
on how to do this see this howto which is also a link at the havoip.org
howto section -
