Yes, you would need to run it from time to time. Maybe once a month or as
needed. It is not that important as things are not going to break if it is
not updated you just won't have calls vs. nodes numbers for a few new
nodes. You could do this with cron. cron has shortcuts to do that shown
below. Unless you specify the -o option it will not rewrite existing files.
@weekly /etc/asterisk/local/write_node_callsigns or
@monthly /etc/asterisk/local/write_node_callsigns
