I have a GR1225 repeater that I acquired. It was a functioning
standalone repeater.
I now have it connected to a Pi and working.
The audio from the radio sounds great but the issue is with the amount
of volume I am getting from the reciever.
I still peak over 5kc in simpleusb-tune-menu on loud voice peaks, and
that is with a Bofeng ht.
I have rxboost set to 0 in simpleusb.conf. I am down to 10 on the
receiver adjustment of simpleusb-tune-menu.
All this and the audio is still a little hot.
This is the first gr1225 I have played with. I am not sure about the
settings in the radio.
The Rx Audio Output is set to flat.
Operation Mode is set to Repeater w/Ext Controller.
Repeater Audio Mode is set to EIA.
There is a setting on the service menu, some type of gain setting (don't
remember exactly what it was called) that went from 0-31. This was set to 4.
Is there any other setting I am missing that would turn down the volume?
Is there any pot adjustment in the radio?
Do I need to add a resistor or pot in the audio line to adjust the level?
