Well - I would say that the "Zone Forecast" that the W0ANM scripts are
designed for has been discontinued.
The Area Forecast Discussion is a different thing altogether - a bit too
verbose.
But, as you say, the city (or lat/lon) forecast is available in a text mode
If I modify the getWxFor to do something like:
wget
"http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lat=38.8121&lon=-77.6375&unit=0&lg
=english&FcstType=text&TextType=1" -O mywx
one does get something similar - looks like you have to throw away the first
38 lines and the last line, then filter out the <b> and <br>
Prefix with a header that says the location and then carry on as before.
