I'm also interested to know how much data a typical node can durn 
through in a month.

I'm about to install a new node on a local repeater and the internet is 
a bit up and down so was looking into a 3G/4G solution instead. Port 
forwarding won't be a problem as I'll run the node back to a server I 
run in a data centre via a VPN and open the ports from there.
