Matt,
I never pay much attention to the log for connects and disconnects but
looking at /var/log/asterisk/messages I see there is no actual connect or
disconnect messages. You do see the DTMF characters send though (not a
valid node shown) -
[Oct 12 01:50:22] NOTICE[350] chan_simpleusb.c: Got DTMF char *
[Oct 12 01:50:22] NOTICE[350] chan_simpleusb.c: Got DTMF char 3
[Oct 12 01:50:23] NOTICE[350] chan_simpleusb.c: Got DTMF char 4
[Oct 12 01:50:24] NOTICE[350] chan_simpleusb.c: Got DTMF char 5
[Oct 12 01:50:24] NOTICE[350] chan_simpleusb.c: Got DTMF char 2
[Oct 12 01:50:24] NOTICE[350] chan_simpleusb.c: Got DTMF char 2
[Oct 12 01:50:25] NOTICE[350] chan_simpleusb.c: Got DTMF char 5
So you could look through the file and see DTMF commands that were sent and
I one could write a script to sort all that out. I think it would be nice
to have the actual command executed logged though as seeing the DTMF does
not tell you what actually happened as a result of the characters bring
sent. Also having it all in one line would allow grep statements to show
something like all connects -
grep connect /var/log/asterisk/messages - that does not currently work
though as there are no connect or disconnect messages in the log. I will
discuss with Dave when things get back to normal in North Carolina which
was heavily hit by Hurricane Matthew.
