Hi Lito,
The SimpleUSB driver works fine with Mastr II hardware, whether a simplex
radio or repeater.
There are a myriad of options available with Mastr II's. The core hardware
(i.e. radios) is all fairly similar, the biggest area of difference being
if you have a PLL type exciter, versus the simpler crystal-multiplier
type. The PLL exciter uses direct FM, whereas the multiplier version is
phase-modulated FM...Boiling this down, it basically means different audio
drive levels (and equalizations) are needed. The PLL exciters were
specifically for VHF hi-band repeaters. I've heard rumors of PLL hardware
for exciters other than VHF-hi, but never personally seen any.
Also, you will need a simple level shifter for squelch COS signaling from
the Mastr II. ...For simplicity, an aftermarket PL decoder/encoder is a
good method, if PL capability is needed.
One thing to also note is that the exciters can be VERY wide-band--so,
it's very important to using a properly filtered TX audio source. URI or
RIM style audio adapter already include audio low-pass filtering. If you
want to use a unfiltered USB FOB, make sure to follow it with a LP filter
to stop DAC aliases, etc., which could wide-band modulate the exciter!
About the single best resource I've found on the Internet for all things
Mastr II, Rangr, etc., is the repeater builder website, here:

true? Can someone share the harness pinout for a full duplex
configuration and the simpleUSB settings associated with the setup.
