Barry,
The 127.0.0.1 IP address in /etc/resolv.conf is intentional---the hamvoip
distro includes a full, local DNS server.
The only time you would need to change that setting is if for some reason
your ISP doesn't allow DNS queries across their network going to any DNS
servers other than those provided by them....Some ISP's will do this for
various reasons which I won't get into here.
Can you ping register.allstarlink.org from the RPi2??
>From the RPi2 command prompt, stop asterisk from running, and then launch
asterisk with the command:
asterisk -vvvvvgc
Look through all the scrolling messages about registration related issues.
Registration related messages should be near the bottom of the scrolled
messages.
