[arm-allstar] New Node Connection Failed

Larry and Doug, I think you both hit on it. The two nodes were kind of on
different LANS. I have a /29 subnet from my ISP, and I have multiple
network set up in my home office. The primary node is on my normal LAN. I
plugged the second node into the Comcast gateway and let it pick up a DHCP
address on the Comcast private LAN (different from my private LAN). I
suspect the IAX packets were getting confused in the gateway.
I backed off of that, set up a real second network off of the Comcast box so
that there is no NAT on the hop between the Comcast device and my two
internal routers, and all is working.
So, I was confusing it with my configuration.
I now have two nodes - one using a URIx, and one using an adapter from
arsrepeaters.com. The goal is for the arsrepeaters.com node to be a
portable node using an HT. So far I've tried it with a Wouxon UV-8D and a
Baofeng UV5R. Seems to be working, but more testing to be done.
Thanks to both of you for your help!
Dan

OOPs said that wrong .... "opposite ends" should have been "both ends"

Dan,
Not positive of your configuration but remember if you have private (Off
Allstar nodes) you need to add/configure each nodes info at the opposite
ends of the intended connection in the [nodes] section in rpt.conf.

I just brought up a new node, and having a little trouble with it. I am
able to communicate with the node via RF without a problem. I was able to
connect to a remote remote node successfully. However, when I try to
connect to my other node I get the following on the node I'm trying to
connect to:
[Mar 26 12:26:24] WARNING[12736]: app_rpt.c:22747 rpt_exec: Node <my node>
<my public IP> does not match link IP <my private IP>!!
The public IP address and local LAN for the two nodes is different. Can
anyone help me start troubleshooting this? So far Google hasn't been my
friend.
