Ok. I finally got  to pinpointing the issue..
I have been trying to fix the alert script by seeing what the file was 
that was to be decoded. (because I was getting a dead keyup during 
actual alerts)..
  I found wx_new.txt in tmp that seemed like would be sufficient to be 
translated to audio.. So I was manually trying to run 'tts_audio.sh 
wx_new.txt' .. That fails.. but if I copy the content of that file and 
make a new one like 'test.txt' then run tts_audio.sh test.txt' it works! 
Also if I copy wx_new.txt to say /root and try it there it also fails.. 
I see no differing attributes with 'ls-l' , I am very puzzled by this.. 
It seems the txt files the script generates is bugged?
By the way I now have getWxForecast and getWx_ug(wunderground) or 
whatever it's called working fine but I am mainly concerned to get 
alerts working..

I see that getWxForecast was discontinued in lastest release but I find 
it more worthwhile having added a 'head -15' to the script for I only 
get the current day and night forecast and it's not so long, timing out 
my rig.

Any ideas??
