[arm-allstar] Connection difficulty question

Robert,
When connections don't happen it is often confusing but there are a few things you can check to see what is going on.
First of all you did not mention port forwarding at either location. You need it to connect IN not out but since you said other nodes can connect in to either of these nodes then that is probably not the issue.
When connecting BOTH nodes need to have addressing information for the other which is stored in /tmp/rpt_extnodes.
You can check at both sites for the existence of the other nodes information by "greping" for it from the database -
[root at wa3dsp-27225-hub asterisk]# grep 27225 /tmp/rpt_extnodes
27225=radio at 73.30.112.57:4569/27225,73.30.112.57
If the nodes are registered this information should appear but there are conditions where that sometimes does not happen that's why it is something you should check. When a node boots the rpt_extnodes file should be established within the first minute or less. The distant node however may not get the information for up to 10 minutes since node updates are on a 10 minute random cycle.
In cases where nodes do not show up and often in private connections of nodes if one or both nodes are static and the IP's do not change you can add fixed routes between the nodes by adding it to the nodes section of rpt.conf.
If you can turn on pings (which are usually turned off) in the two routers you could check for a path between them by pinging each from the other.
If you catch me on the radio we can discuss this further if you don't come up with a resolution.

Any pointers toward resolving the following problem will be much appreciated!
Situation:Node 42738, a UHF duplex node running out of my home.
Node 42754, another UHF duplex node running in the same city miles away, different building, different LAN.
The nodes run on separate servers, both of which reside in my Allstar account.
I can connect either node to other nodes, other nodes can connect to either of these two nodes.I cannot connect these two nodes together.Get the following response from either node when trying to connect one to the other
